Job Summary:

Through innovative storytelling and a culture of collaboration, Hong Kong Disneyland’s Entertainment team manages and leads the creation, production, and delivery of remarkable and engaging entertainment experiences. The Technical Manager guides and manages technical production efforts for the development and sustainment of live entertainment project, shows and product offerings.

The Costume Services Specialist is responsible to work independently to support the 3 major functions via rotation in the Costume Services Team:

  • Compliance and supplier relationships,

  • Finance planning and budget management

  • Costuming Systems Support

Responsibilities

Compliance and supplier relationships

  • Ensure the team complies with all Sourcing and Procurement Policies and Procedures requirements.

  • Ensure the team complies with all other Disney policies and standards.

  • Ensure the team meet the requirements for Hong Kong Legal Codes/ HKDL Legal team specifications.

  • Maintain accurate vendor master for the LOB with appropriate contracts and agreements (e.g. NDA, MOUA). Custodian of the LOB’s contracts with vendors and other compliance documents for all Disney policies and Hong Kong legal codes, including but not limited to ILS, Sourcing & Procurement policies, Licenses, etc.

  • Work with other Procurement partners for various company goal (e.g. Diverse supplier campaign)

  • Negotiate with vendors for payment terms, production schedule, delivery schedules and compliance with the company policy (e.g. ILS) and other company initiatives (e.g. Diverse supplier campaign).

  • Coordinate local courier and forwarders for local or overseas delivery and shipment. Ensure the timely delivery and compliance to the relevant custom regulations.

  • Regular review of the operation to identify opportunity for operation efficiency/ work safety enhancement.  Maintain regular repair & maintenance work of the machinery and equipment in workplace.

  • Provide training support to the team for the Sourcing and Procurement Policies and Procedures requirements aspects.

  • Handle inter-company purchase transactions and costume leasing between Parks.

  • Maintain close relationships with garment industry players to uncover new resources, vendors and industry achievements.

  • Attend regular Sourcing Meeting and segment conference call. Partnership with Sourcing & Procurement Team, assist and coordinate the bidding projects as the representative for the Line of Business.

  • Occasional PRC travel required.

  • The role is also required to provide strategic suggestion in order to ensure the line of business is utilizing the company’s resources in the most efficient and effective way.

  • Identify ongoing process improvements to respond to requestors operation needs.

Finance planning and budget management:

  • Managing budgets and maintaining accurate spending records for the team.

  • The role has to guide shopping activities of Buyers/ Assistant Buyers:
    - Ensure the completion timeline of the PR requests
    - Ensure the accuracy of the Purchase Orders.
    - Ensure the Purchase Orders are raised within the budget allowances.
    - Ensure the Good receipts records are supported by appropriate documents.
    - Ensure “No PO no Pay” compliance requirements.
    - Ensure “No After the fact” compliance requirements.

  • Provide regular reports to budget ultimate Owners and Management to facilitate budget monitoring.

  • Support the Fixed Asset Register breakdown to finance partners.

  • Work with Finance partners for budget planning including:
    - Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
    - Long Term Plans (LTP).
    - Monthly Forecast updates.
    - Quarter-end/ Year-end closing.
    - Cost mitigation exercises.

  • Work with Finance partners for accrual / adjustment journals process.

  • Handle enquiries from various finance partners (e.g. Account Payable, Fixed Asset Team)

  • Handle enquiries from various budget ultimate owners, operation about the budget and actual spending.

  • Provide training support to the team for the Finance planning and budget management aspects.

  • The role is also required to provide strategic suggestion in order to ensure the line of business is utilizing the company’s resources in the most efficient and effective way.

  • Process payments, maintain and ensure accuracy of data record for the operation needs. Build projection model for spending forecast.

  • Work with Financial Management and Costuming Team to update costs and maintain maintenance record to allocate resources to the optimal use.

  • Identify ongoing process improvements to respond to requestors operation needs.

Costuming Systems Support

  • Maintain the data and records in the Accessory tracking system.

  • Monitior the stock take audit of the equipment.

  • Monitor the conditions and maintain regular replacement of the machinery & equipment in workplace.

  • Work with Finance partners to update the fixed asset register (new acquisition or disposal)

  • Support the upgrade testing in all Costuming Inventory System. (e.g. YUNIQUE, GUS, MULAN, COMIT)

  • Maintain the master record in Costuming Inventory Systems.

  • Provide system reports/ statistics to assist ultimate budget owners to fulfil contractual obligations.

  • Provide training support to the team for the Costuming Inventory Systems aspects.

  • The role is also required to provide strategic suggestion in order to ensure the line of business is utilizing the company’s resources in the most efficient and effective way.

  • Identify ongoing process improvements to respond to requestors operation needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree holder, preferred in Business management, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering. with at least 3 years’ experience in related fields. Candidates with solid work experience but less educational qualification will be considered for lower grade positions.

  • Licenses in Buying, Merchandising and Procurement is preferred.

  • Knowledgeable in the shipping, garment, manufacturing is required. Knowledge in Costuming Inventory Systems (e.g. YUNIQUE, GUS, MULAN, COMIT) is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), Business Objects, COUPA, Accessory tracking system and SAP

  • Highly proactive, independent, adaptive, creative and able to handle multi-tasks under pressure.

  • Great negotiation, organization, leadership, administration, management and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to work with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
